LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A state senator from Omaha introduced legislation Thursday that would legalize recreational marijuana for Nebraskans 21 and older.
Sen. Justin Wayne’s legislative resolution would amend the state constitution to make cannabis legal by October of 2023.
The Nebraska Supreme Court blocked an initiative last year that would have allowed for medical marijuana use. Proponents have tried unsuccessfully to legal marijuana for years.
